Polish music provides a bedrock for classical music, and who better to probe those layers than our own principal guest conductor Piotr Sulkowski. The land of Chopin is now the contemporary landscape of Wojciech Kilar, Grazyna Bacewicz, and Witold Lutoslawski. The rarely-heard Bacewicz 3rd Violin Concerto received the Polish Ministry of Culture Award, and this performance will feature our concertmaster Maureen O'Boyle. Concert is January 26, 2013 at 8:00pm and part of the Williams Signature Classics.
