Orange -- a dramatic color to be sure -- is less violent than red, yet remains energetic, lighthearted and intriguing. Samuel Barber's "School for Scandal" is playful and lively, bursting with drama, much like the comedic play after which it was written. One of Beethoven's most highly regarded symphony's spontaneously sweeping final movement catches audiences in a whirlwind of joy.
