With warmer days around us, spring is just around the corner! Excitement is in the air as Tulsa Boys’ Home prepares for its 10th Annual Run for the Roses Kentucky Derby party! All proceeds benefit Tulsa Boys’ Home to support troubled Oklahoma boys. We expect nothing short of a thrilling, sold out extravaganza for the 2014 main event, and we saw exactly that!
Our Run for the Roses gala and auction is Saturday, May 3rd, from 1:00pm - 5:30pm at the beautiful Pavilion at Expo Square. As one of Oklahoma’s oldest non-profit residential treatment facilities, Tulsa Boys’ Home has graciously and gratefully benefited from outstanding community support. Now celebrating our 96th year helping Oklahoma boys suffering from mental, behavioral, emotional, and substance abuse problems, this annual event directly benefits our cause!
Guests will enjoy excellent food, over one hundred enticing silent and live auction items, and horse races simulcast live from Churchill Downs on Jumbotron TV screens. Ladies sport Derby Day hats and pretty dresses typical of Kentucky Derby style, while men don everything from colorful Hawaiian shirts to three-piece suits!
The renowned Art Deco Pavilion will be decorated Derby style with regalia featuring thousands of beautiful, fresh, red roses. More than a dozen exciting items were for bid in our live auction. Guests also can bet on all of the afternoon Kentucky Derby horse races, courtesy of the Fair Meadows Racetrack staff!
Guest participation and sponsorship make this event possible. Sponsorships are still available, as are individual tickets and tables.
Patron Co-Chairs Danny and Stephanie Christner are assisting with volunteer groups of Tulsa and beyond in making this a night to remember.
