Races: Marathon
The Inaugural Tulsa World Route 66 Marathon will be run on a beautiful urban road course. The course is a mostly flat loop course starting and finishing at 6th and Main Street in Downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma. The 26.2 mile course takes runners on historic Route 66, along the Arkansas River, through Jenks America where runners will pass The Oklahoma Aquarium and Riverwalk Crossing. As runners leave Jenks they will head back towards Downtown Tulsa passing the sidewalk cafe's of Brookside and through the historic and beautiful Maple Ridge neighborhood.
The Route 66 Marathon will be USATF sanctioned and certified. It will also be a Boston Marathon qualifier.
ChampionChip timing will be used for The Full Marathon, Half Marathon and Marathon Relay.
The course will be open and traffic control will be provided for 6 1/2 hours.
All marathon participants will receive a goody bag and Official Inaugural Route 66 Marathon Sweatshirt. Marathon finishers will receive a custom medal and finisher's shirt. Those finishing their first marathon will receive a special "My First Marathon" edition of the finishers medal.
