Sharon Osbourne’s outspoken thoughts have got her into plenty of trouble in the past – and her sharp opinions is why she’s a popular daytime talk show host and prime time talent judge.
But her remarks about the panelists over at The View got her in a lot of hot water recently. Osbourne and her The Talk co-hosts appeared on The Arsenio Hall Show Wednesday night and when asked about what the difference was between the two shows, Julie Chen started with a diplomatic “we don’t discuss politics or debate answer then Sharon stepped in to say “I love Barbara Walters…I idolize her…but the rest can go f*ck themselves.” That would be a big swipe to Whoopi Goldberg, Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd.
The story blew up wide throughout social media and the uproar forced Sharon to have to address the issue on Thursday’s episode of The Talk.
The 61-year-old began telling the audience she was only responsible for herself and that “I was inappropriate and tried to be funny at someone else’s expense” explaining that she was just trying to make a joke. She praised The View panel for being “accomplished, self made women who have achieved so much” and chalked up the incident to “my irreverent behavior” and reiterated she “meant no disrespect, and I apologize.”
