Ringo: Tour With the Tour

An exhibit of Ringo Starr's computer art will accompany his All-Starr Band tour this summer. Ringo began composing art on his computer while on tour in the late '90s and held his first exhibit in 20005. He says, "I love modern media -- it is the way I do my art. This year has been great. I designed something for Knot Violence: Imagine World Peace, and to support another great charity, WaterAid, I did a design for Timberlake boots, and opened up this year's Chelsea Garden show. And now we are doing Peace signs, and as always, all my proceeds go to support the Lotus Foundation, the charity [my wife] Barbara and I set up." A list of the galleries that will display Ringo's work will be announced soon. You can also see it in Hard Rock Cafes in some of the cities he plays.

The tour, with his 13th All Starr Band, gets under way Thursday in Niagara Falls, Canada. --Sal Cirrincione
