The wait for the new Rush album is over -- Clockwork Angels hits stores and digital retailers Tuesday. They recorded it in between dates of their Time Machine tour over the course of two years, but Geddy Lee tells us the actual time they spent recording wasn't that long.

Clockwork Angels is Rush's 20th studio effort and is based on drummer Neil Peart's lyrics about a protagonist in a fictional steampunk sci-fi world. Peart's concept will also be published as a novel by Kevin J. Anderson later this year.

Rush will tour behind Clockwork Angels starting in the fall.
