Tulsa, Okla. —

People expecting a white Christmas may just get their wish.

National Weather Service out of Norman has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Tulsa area starting on Tuesday at noon. The warning will stay in effect until midnight Wednesday morning.

Christmas Eve weather will stay warm, but cloudy throughout the day. National Weather Service says the cooler temperatures will reach Tulsa by Monday night. The high is expected to be 43 degrees and the low 29 degrees.

Snow and sleet will be likely Christmas day. National Weather Service says there is an 80 percent chance of participation during the day that should transition to snow by late morning or early afternoon. The high will be 34 degrees.

There is a 30 percent chance of snow Christmas evening. National Weather Service says the the wind will make things worse. The low will be 17 degrees.

Falling snow will end by Tuesday evening, but it will stay cold on Wednesday. National Weather Service says temperatures will not rise past 29 degrees.
